Microsoft has done a detailed study comparing the energy consumption of different browsers and have published the findings in which the tech giant Microsoft stated clear details about the prominent loser along with the winner. So, if you really care about the battery life maybe you should ask yourself to use Microsoft Edge instead of using the Google Chrome on your Windows 10 based computer or laptop.


That’s what the tech giant Microsoft’s data suggest, which revealed as the browser of Redmond “Microsoft Edge” is the most economical in terms of the battery life when compared to the Google Chrome, Opera, and Firefox in various tests of navigation and playback of the content in the browser.


The Efficiency is not everything

According to the tech giant Microsoft’s testing, the notebook with Chrome was the first to see your battery runs out after 4 hours and 19 minutes, followed by the laptop with Firefox, which lasted 5 hours and 9 minutes and the laptop with the Opera whose battery lasted for 6 hours and 18 minutes. Finally, lasting more precisely was Microsoft Edge PC which endured for 7 hours and 22 minutes.
As these tests were extended to other sections as the tech giant Microsoft offered a blunt conclusion: Edge offers between 17 and 70% more battery life than its competitors depending on the scenario, but the tech giant Microsoft still preparing further improvements in this section as the “Anniversary Update” will arrive this summer.
Hence, it is clear that everything is not efficient: the tech giant Microsoft’s browser “Microsoft Edge” lacks the catalog of extensions, while other browsers have a very long list.
